We automatically collect certain information when you use our services, in order to help us provide you with a better experience. We do this by using cookies, as well as third-party analytics partners such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel or PostHog. We don't share it or resell this information with anybody else.

- To provide services and personalize your experience: We use the information you provide to use to provide you with our service. We use your Google login, for example, to authenticate you and provide you with an avatar.
- For research and development: We use the information we collect on how you use our services to help us troubleshoot issues as well as understand how can Okteto be improved.
- To market new features: We use the information we collect to inform you of new functionality that we believe would be helpful to you. You can always opt out of this.
How we store and protect the information we collect
- The information we collect is stored by our data hosting partners in the United States.
- We use industry-wide best practices (encryption, two-factor authentication, network isolation) to keep your data secure. While we implement safeguards designed to protect your information, no security system is impenetrable.
- We keep information about you for as long as your account is active. If your account becomes inactive, we will delete or anonymize your data after a reasonable time period.
How to access your data
The data you provide through Okteto is yours. You have the right to request a copy of your information or to request its deletion. In order to do this, you may contact us as provided in the "Contact Us" section of our website.
Deactivate your account
If you no longer want to use our services, you can deactivate your account, please contact us with your request as provided in the "Contact Us" section of our website. Please be aware that some of your information (e.g. deployment history, services created) might still be available to other users of the services if it was shared through our services.
Changes to this privacy policy
This policy might change from time to time. We will post any changes to this page. If the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice.
If you don't agree with this privacy policy, you will need to stop using the services and deactivate your account as outlined before. We hope that won't be the case.
Okteto AI Agent Fleets – Beta Program Terms
These terms apply to participants in the Okteto AI Agent Fleets Beta Program (“Beta Program”). By accessing and using the Beta features, you agree to the terms below, in addition to Okteto’s Privacy Policy above and the Terms of Service.
Beta Feature Scope
- The Beta Program provides access to Okteto’s AI Agent Fleets feature, which allows users to run AI-powered agents in isolated, ephemeral dev environments.
- This feature is offered on a trial basis and may include limited functionality, performance, and availability.
2. Access and Usage
- Beta access is by invite only and may be revoked or restricted at Okteto’s discretion.
- Users may be subject to usage limits, including:
- Max agents per user or org
- Agent runtime caps (e.g., 30–60 minutes)
- Prompt or LLM API request limits
- Cost Caps for the amount of infrastructure or LLM usage
- Users must provide their own API key for third-party LLMs (e.g., Claude or OpenAI). Okteto does not provide or bill for these services.
3. Data Collection
- Okteto uses PostHog to track usage data within the Beta feature.
- Actions such as agent creation, test execution, PR generation, and prompt interactions may be logged for product improvement.
- Users may be asked to provide optional feedback via in-product surveys or interviews.
4. Data Security
- Okteto does not store user-provided API keys beyond the duration of the trial period.
- API keys and tokens are encrypted in memory and handled according to secure runtime practices.
5. Disclaimer and Support
- This Beta feature is provided “as is” and without warranty of any kind.
- Okteto may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Beta at any time without notice.
- Limited support is available during the Beta. For urgent issues, please contact your Okteto account representative or use the in-app support channel.
6. Feedback and Participation
- By participating in the Beta, you agree to share feedback with Okteto that may be used to improve the product.
- Feedback may be shared voluntarily or requested through scheduled interviews or survey prompts.
